Dr. Dutta is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Center for Immunotherapy & Precision Immuno-Oncology, Cleveland Clinic, Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland, Ohio. His one line of research is focused on investigation of different aspects of myocarditis and inflammatory cardiomyopathy during SARS- CoV-2 infection, while the other line of research is focused on Cancer Immunotherapy by addressing the immune checkpoint inhibition strategies as a potential therapeutic method for cancer treatment. Dr. Dutta earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Dept. of Biological Sciences, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, while working on defining the cellular mechanism responsible for the destruction/inactivation of human platelets during infection with Dengue and Zika virus, causing the thrombocytopenia. He has also interest in exploring molecular targets and investigating drugs which is associated with Parkinson's diseases. Dr. Dutta has vast experience in signaling pathway & Immunological aspects associated with viral infections, and cancer biology.
Dr. Dutta’s primary research interest includes Cancer Immunotherapy, Virology, Infectious diseases, Cell signaling pathways, Immunogenetics, Immunotherapy, Infections and immunity, Transplantation immunology, Tumor immunology, Tumor Antigens, and Vaccines.
