Biography

Dr. Xianqin Zhang is a Professor of genetics and molecular biology, he graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and received the Ph.D. degree in 2008, he did the research in Lerner Research Institute of Cleveland Clinic in USA as a visiting Ph.D. student (2005-2008). He worked in Lerner Research Institute of Cleveland Clinic as a postdoctoral research fellow (2008-2010), since 2010 he works in Huazhong University of Science and Technology as a principal investigator and professor of genetics and molecular biology, his research interesting is genetic and molecular mechanism study of human single gene disorders, including neurological disease, congenital immunodeficiency diseases and other inherited diseases, he has published papers in Nature, Cell, Nature Genetics, Human genetics, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular Vision, Gene, Journal of Biochemistry, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Andrology, The Journal of Gene Medicine, Ophthalmic Genetics, Molecular Vision, Journal of Molecular Medicine, Journal of Biochemistry, BMC medical genetics.

Research Interest

Identification of disease-causing genes and molecular mechanism study of neurological diseases, auto-inflammation diseases and other single gene disorders.
