Biography

Dr. Ana Flávia Marçal Pessoa is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), São Paulo - SP, Brazil. She has been working with nanocarrier development in different wound healing process, evaluate the antioxidant system, oxidative stress and inflammatory conditions in this process. She is a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Biochemistry and received her Master’s degree in Health Sciences, from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Brazil in 2009. She has received her PhD of Science in Cellular and Tissue Biology, from the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences - ICB-I, University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil in 2015.

Research Interest

Nanoparticles; diabetes; ulcer legs; wound healing; inflammation; oxidative stress; antioxidants; nutrition; herbal medicine.
