A Special Issue on "Cancer Immunotherapy and Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors" in the Journal of Cancer Immunology would highlight one of the most transformative areas in modern oncology. Cancer immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment by harnessing the immune system to recognize and eliminate tumor cells, while immune checkpoint inhibitors have demonstrated remarkable clinical success across a wide range of malignancies.
The interdisciplinary nature of this field encourages contributions from researchers in immunology, oncology, molecular biology, translational medicine, bioinformatics, and clinical sciences, fostering meaningful scientific discussion and collaboration. This Special Issue would provide a platform to showcase recent advances in immune checkpoint blockade, novel immunotherapeutic strategies, combination therapies, predictive biomarkers, mechanisms of treatment resistance, tumor microenvironment interactions, and emerging next-generation immune targets.
