Biography

Dr. Alexandra M Kalogeraki is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Cytopathology at University Hospital of Heraklion, Greece. She was graduated from Medical School of University of Athens in 1982. She was specialized in Cytopathology in Athens (Medical School – Hospital Evangelismos 1983-1988). Her thesis entitled ”Immunohistochemical study of G-cells of gastric mucosa in biopsies of patients with chronic gastritis” was conducted in Medical School at the University of Athens (1983- 1988). She is working in Medical School at the University of Crete, Greece since 1989. She has participated in many Greek, European and International Congresses as Speaker, Chairperson and Member of the Organizing Committee. She has published many scientific papers in Greek and in International journals (PubMed). From the 2001 She is the President of MWIA Greek Branch, since 2001 and Vice President of MWIA (South Europe), since 2010.
