Biography

Dr. Joseph Colombo is the Chief Medical Officer of Physio PS based in the USA. He is also a Consultant for Franklin Cardiovascular Associates, PA, as a researcher and a lecturer. For over 27 years he has done consulting research for the military and NASA in the areas of life support systems, physiologic measurement devices, signal processing and telemetry systems, data compression systems, and communications and control systems. Dr. Colombo is associated with several medical societies including The American Autonomic Society, International Society for Autonomic Neuroscience, The Acoustical Society of America, The American Heart Association, The Society of Critical Care Medicine, The American Institute of Physics, The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, and The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Research Interest

Dr. Colombo is an expert in the subject of Medicine & the Autonomic Nervous System (Inventor of Monitoring of the Parasympathetic and Sympathetic nervous systems collectively and independently). He specializes in Autonomic Dysfunction, POTS and Natural Medicine.

Dr. Colombo’s specialty is in high-end signal processing and neurosciences. His primary clinical interest is the Parasympathetic and Sympathetic nervous systems. 

Throughout his career he has developed sensory-neuro-prosthetics, neurological measuring devices, and tele-healthcare platforms.
