Mr Nikhil Shah is a Fellowship-trained specialist in hip and knee replacement surgery, having undergone subspecialist training at the world-renowned Wrightington Hospital in Wigan and at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Institute at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada, one of North America’s leading hospitals for musculoskeletal care, education and research. He offers private hip and knee surgery at BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Spire Manchester Hospital and at the John Charnely Wing of the Wrightington Hospital.
He received a gold medal as winning surgeon, Mr Shah was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at the Wrightington Hospital in 2006 and is part of a team that provides the North West Acetabular Fracture Service. Practicing as NHS consultant at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust and in Manchester, he has a special interest in lower limb surgery, particularly patients with hip, knee and pelvic-acetabular problems. In 2014 he also completed the prestigious Rothman Ranawat American Hip Society Travelling Fellowship.
