Biography

Dr. Maria Kapritsou, RN, PhD is Chief Nurse of P.A.C.U. in Hellenic- Anticancer Institute “Saint Savvas” Hospital, Day Care Clinic “N. Kourkoulos”, Athens, Greece. Also, she has participated in the adult education program as Instructor of Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation of Municipality Athens, Greece. She holds a BSc in Nursing, Master of Science in Surgical Nursing and she is Candidate in Master of Health Nursing Management. She has a PhD in Oncology Surgical Nursing which was obtained from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Also, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Perianaesthesia Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She has an experience in research methodology (quantitative and laboratory assays) and she has strong interest in clinical nursing practice and research focused on pain, stress and neuropeptides’ levels issues, mainly concerning oncology and surgical patients (adults). She has participated in research projects, such “Study of effectiveness of Fast-track protocol in postoperative care in patients after hepatectomy or pancreatectomy”. Registration Number of clinicaltrials.gov: NCT02524925. She was awarded for her research work presented in 6 Hellenic Congresses. She was member of 2 National and Professional Organization of the Hellenic Nurses Association (2012-2016). She is the founder, as well, the President of “Hellenic Perianaesthesia Nursing Corporation” and Vice Chair of the Directors of Board of International Collaboration of Perianaesthesia Nursing (ICPAN). She is Editor-in-Chief of ContROL- Zinianz Publishers.  Also, she is Academic Editor of the peer review journal “Medicine”, Associate Editor of “Physiology of Cell Injury Journal” journal, International Associate Editor of “The Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology” journal, Editor in Global Scientific Research Journal of Nursing and Editor of Nursing & Palliative Care International JournalOlogy Press. She is reviewer in 13 International Peer Review Journals. She has a total of 34 publications in peer review journals (28 in international and 6 in Hellenic ones). Her published work has been cited from other authors.
