Biography

Dr. Shi Yang is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, USA. He is also serving in Graduate Faculty (Primary Mentor of Grad Students) at Boston University School of Medicine, Graduate Medical Sciences, USA. Dr. Yang is the Director of Diagnostic Molecular Pathology Lab, Division of Anatomic Pathology at Boston Medical Center, USA. Dr. Yang received his MB (MD equivalent) from the Hebei Medical College, China in 1983 and MSc from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China in 1986. He is a member of American Society for Cell Biology, Association for Molecular Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Breast Cancer Research Program, Genomic Science Institute (GSI), Boston University, Cancer Research Center, BUSM, Women’s Health Interdisciplinary Research Center (WHIRC), BUMC.

Research Interest

1. In-vitro studies of genetic and epigenetic changes in colorectal polyps, on “Serrated Polyp Neoplasia pathway”.
2. Breast cancer carcinogenesis and dietary prevention in animal models (green tea).
3. Molecular diagnosis of hematology disorders, solid tumor and infectious diseases.
4. Molecular pathways to melanoma.
