Biography

Dr. Shamim A. Sinnar is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Her research interests are neonatal and childhood infection, with specific emphasis in developing nations. Dr. Sinnar received her medical degree from Duke University and her PhD in cell biology from University of California, San Diego. She also was briefly involved in designing clinical oncology trials in the pharmaceutical industry.

Research Interest

Dr. Sinnar's broad scientific expertise includes cell and molecular biology, neurobiology, genomic technologies, and infectious diseases. She draws upon her scientific, medical, and clinical trials background to address global issues in human health.
