Radhika completed her PhD in neuroscience at University of Alabama at Birmingham in the lab of Dr. James H. Meador-Woodruff, where she investigated abnormalities in protein expression, protein complexes, phosphorylation, and kinase activity in the AKT-mTOR signaling cascade in Schizophrenia postmortem human brain tissue, since this pathway plays an important role in learning and memory deficits observed in this mental illness. As a postdoctoral associate in the lab of Jason Shepherd at University of Utah, she is studying the role of Arc enriched extracellular vesicles in Alzheimer’s disease using primary neurons and 3xTg mouse model. She has published in multiple peer reviewed journals such as Molecular Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology. She is also an active reviewer for multiple journals (eg. Frontiers Oncology). She is currently the chair of the Neurobiology Postdoc Group at University of Utah.
