Biography

I am currently working as Associate Research Scientist at Department of Neurology, Yale University, USA. Here, I am identifying novel receptors for known ligands like Tau and alpha-synuclein using CRISPR/Cas9 activation and suppression method with a designed membrane protein-based gRNA library. After completing a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of North Dakota, USA, where I worked for almost six years (Dec. 2015- 31st June 2021), I was promoted as a research assistant professor in the same department.  

I have extensive experience in handle the BSL3 laboratory. During my Ph.D. period, I trained and taught many students to handle the BSL3 laboratory. Since Dec 2015, I trained five undergraduate and 4 Ph.D. students and supported their research work. I am an academic editor and review board member at eight different international peer-review journals. I have published 30 manuscripts and presented my research work at six different places worldwide. My publications have been cited over 605 times as Google scholar citations. Also, I am an active reviewer of multiple international peer-review journals [(Scientific Reports and Scientific Data- Nature publishing group (NPG), Antioxidants journal, Brain Science, Biology Journal, and Journal of Biomolecular structure and dynamics and an active member of the Society on Neuroimmune Pharmacology (SNIP) and International Society of Neuro-Virology (ISNV). Also, I got the first prize for a poster presentation on my research work at the SNIP meeting, Philadelphia-USA.
