Research Interest
Although I have diverse domains of research, my main focus is still in computer vision and image processing. I develop new methodologies to better visualize and efficiently segment the low contrast medical images of different organs such as heart, liver (leisons), pelvis (pelvic fracture), brain (aneurysm), etc. from various imaging modalities such as MR, CT, and 3dRA. In addition, I have some experience in signal (such as ECG) compression and late potential detection (in ECG). Medical image registration and object tracking are two more areas I am working on. Image guided surgery, treatment planning, and education are the end objectives of my research. I always like to explore the ways how to take the research from bench to bed side.
