Dr. Jan Weichert is currently a clinical professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein. He is board certified in Prenatal Medicine and has expertise in diagnosing fetal anomalies in low- and high-risk pregnancies.
He graduated from Georg August University in Goettingen in 1998 and started his residency at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the Medical University in Luebeck in 1999. Following completion of his residency at Hannover Medical School and Community Hospital Wolfsburg he returned to Luebeck in 2007 to his current post as Head of Division of Prenatal Medicine. In the last decade Dr. Weichert focused on the clinical validation of volume-based ultrasound approaches to improve prenatal imaging protocols.
In addition to his clinical work in Lubeck, he began working in private practice at Elbe Center of Prenatal Medicine in Hamburg in 2018.
