Dr. Bo Sun Joo now is a chief of infertility institute of Pohang Women’s Hospital, Pohang, Rep. of Korea. I’m also vice director of the Korea Institute for Public Sperm Bank, Busan, Korea. Three years ago, I worked with a research professor in the Anti-aging Center and Healthy Aging Korean Medical Research Center, Pusan National University, Busan, Korea. I earned my B.Sc. in molecular biology at Pusan National University of Nature Science, M.Sc. in reproductive genetic engineering at Kyungbook National University and Ph.D. in reproductive immunology at Pusan National University of Nature Science. From 1994 to 2014, I worked with Chief of Center for Reproductive Medicine at Jo Jae Dong Infertility Clinic and Good Moonhwa Hospital, Busan, Korea. I also worked with foreign professor at department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Kosin University Hospital. My major is reproduction and infertility, and I worked at infertility field for 30 years. During the period, I have performed about 5,000 cycles of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (Test-tube baby). My major research topic is the prevention of reproductive aging and improvement of ovarian function and oocyte quality by activating ovarian follicle microenvironment and ovarian surface epithelium derived stem cells. In these fields, I have published over 30 articles in the SCI or SCIE grade international journals.
