Biography

Yu-Chi Cheng, B.S., is a 2023 graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is currently studying at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is the "rst student admitted to Harvard’s DMD-PhD dual degree program and is currently developing diagnostics for oral and systemic diseases under the mentorship of Professor David Walt. His past research in implant dentistry focuses on analyzing large patient datasets with novel statistical methods and machine learning to inform clinical practice.

Dental biomaterials and implantology; early diagnostics and risk assessment of dental diseases; tissue engineering and regenerative dentistry; oral-systemic disease interactions; spatial transcriptomics and single-cell analysis; machine learning applications in dentistry; precision oral health; cancer immunogenomics; biomarker discovery; public health approaches to oral healthcare delivery.
