Biography

Dr. William J. Maloney is presently an attending at BronxCare Health System and a member of the faculty at New York University College of Dentistry. He holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education from Harvard Medical School.

Upon graduation from NYU he was awarded the American College of Prosthodontists Award for clinical and didactic excellence. Dr. Maloney has received many other awards and distinctions throughout his illustrious career such as the ADA Certificate for Service in a Foreign Country, fellowship in the New York Academy of Medicine, fellowship in the International College of Dentists, fellowship in the American College of Dentists, and the Award of Excellence from the Floating Hospital (NYC) among many other awards. He has authored well over 350 publications which have appeared in the leading publications of the world. His work has been covered globally by numerous media outlets. Dr. Maloney is chair of the Ninth District Dental Association’s dental education and licensure committee where he serves on the Board of Governors. He serves as a delegate for the New York State Dental Association.

He is also a proud member of New York City’s The Explorers Club.

Dr. William James Maloney's research interests include: History of dentistry and medicine, Innovative cariology theories and techniques, Oral and head & neck anatomy, Oral/dental manifestations of systemic diseases, Oral/dental significance of illicit and prescription drug abuse and misuse.
