Matteo Pacini currently working as a Teacher of Addiction Medicine at Unicamillus International University from Institute of Behavioral Sciences G, and he is also affiliated to Istituto di Scienze del COmportamento G de Lisio, Italy. Matteo Pacini worked as a II level Master Class Teacher from 2012 to 2020 and as Contract Professor from 2011 to 2012 at Pisa University, Department of Psychiatry, NFB, Italy. As a Consultant and the Regional Center for Alcohol-Related Problems, University "La Sapienza", Policlinico Umberto I, Rome, Italy from 2004-2013. Worked as a physician in private psychiatric practice c/o Studio Medico Psichiatrico Associato, Dr. Giulio Perugi, Alberto Petracca, Laura Musetti, Valter Mignani, Florence, Italy from 2002-2003.
In addition to his general psychiatry skills, Dr. Pacini has been carrying out clinical and research activities since 1998 in the field of psychoactive substance use disorders and addictions. He is a founding member, researcher and professor of the Institute of Behavioral Sciences "G. De Lisio", based in Pisa, which deals with psychiatric research and teaching. He is President of EUROPAD Italia (European Opiate Addiction Treatment Association). He collaborates as external consultant with the Alcoholic Reference Center of Lazio at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome in a diagnostic and follow-up program for alcoholic patients with double psychiatric diagnosis. He has participated as a lecturer in numerous psychiatric and drug addiction training courses. He has been a speaker at national and international conferences.
Clinical experience and research in the field of addictive diseases, with special regard to heroin, cocaine and alcohol addiction, and the management of double diagnosis.
