Biography

Bianca Pizzorno Backx is a Professor of the Higher Magisterium at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Campus Duque de Caxias, BRAZIL. She graduated in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Master's degree at COPPE in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a Ph.D. at COPPE in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on Petroleum Chemistry, Analytical, and Instrumental (high-performance liquid chromatography - HPLC, gas chromatography, Atomic Absorption with graphite furnace), Materials Engineering with emphasis on Surfaces and Interfaces (force microscopy) atomic-AFM, contact angle), Biotechnology and Nanotechnology.

Research Interest

Green Chemistry in the Synthesis of Nanoparticles and Synthesis of Polymer Blends by Green synthesis.
