Dr. Rama Krishna Nimmakayala is an instructor in the department of biochemistry and molecular biology, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, USA. He received his BS and MS from Andhra University, India, and his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA. He is an expert in the fields of cancer stem cells, cancer metabolism, pancreatic cancer, and metastasis. He published over 20 research articles in several high-impact factor journals, including Gastroenterology, Clinical Cancer Research, Oncogene, and Cell Death & Disease. Currently, He is exploring the role of the PGC1 family of transcriptional co-activators and targeting key factors involved in pancreatic cancer development.
