Dr. Zizhang Sheng is a research scientist in the Zukerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute, Columbia University, USA. He has received his B.A., in Biotechnology from Shandong Normal University, China in 2006. Dr. Sheng earned his PhD in cell biology from Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science, China in 2011. His PhD research was focused on functional evolution of protein domain superfamilies. Dr. Sheng has published over 30 papers in reputed journals. His current research focuses on understanding B cell responses and mechanisms of antibody affinity maturation in viral infection (HIV-1, Influenza, etc.) and vaccination, with a long term goal of designing universal HIV and influenza vaccines.
