Biography

Dr. Katherine Biagas is currently working as an Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook, New York, USA. She is a Vice Chair for Faculty and Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Stony Brook Children’s Service, UFPC, Department of Pediatrics Stony Brook, NY. She received her graduation from University of Chicago.Chicago, IL, (1978-82). later She obtained her M.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Pittsburgh, PA, (1982-86). Followed by she trained as Pediatric Critical Care Fellow from The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, PA, (1989-92). Katherine is a member of several reputed associations such as American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigator’s (PALISI), Creative Community and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is awarded with many National/International Awards and Honors like Best Care Recognition Award from Chaim Medical Resources Foundation, Presidential Citation from Society of Critical Care Medicine  and meny more. She serves as Editor and Reviewer for reputed Journals like Journal of Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, and  American Academy of Pediatrics, Section on Critical Care.
