Annapurna Pamreddy, PhD is a University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA) postdoctoral research fellow in the Nephrology Division, Department of Medicine. Her research has pioneered in the development of a sensitive and robust analytical method to determine the localization of small metabolites and lipid markers in various organs like kidney, brain and lung using MALDI_MSI analysis. The localization and distribution study of various drugs and neuroactive peptides in rat brain tissues via Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI). Dr Pamreddy’s PhD research at Masaryk University, Czech Republic, mainly focused on MALDI and/or LDI MS, including Quadrupole Ion Trap Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (QIT-TOF-MS) analysis of biological polymers, various nano-materials or nano-layers synthesized via laser ablation, analysis of organic compounds and its derivatives. Her PhD Erasmus stay at University of Girona, Spain, focused on Liquid Chromatography coupled with Electrospray Ionization Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry in Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM) mode (LC-ESI-MS/MS) analysis of antibiotic compounds, method development, analytical method validation, and identification of antibiotic traces present in bio-solids. She also has two years of working experience as a research chemist in Analytical Research and Development department at MSN Labs PVT Ltd, Hyderabad, INDIA, and one and half years working experience as an assistant manager and supervised analytical laboratory at Laxmi Genchem Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India.
