Dr. Pandey is a senior scientist (Scientist II) in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky, where he focuses on translational research investigating the interplay between spinal cord injury and diabetes, particularly their combined contribution to autonomic dysfunction in human patients, and tries to understand the plausible mechanisms using rodent models. During his postdoctoral research at the University of Kentucky, his research focused on diabetes-mediated cardiac remodeling, neurodegeneration, and aging.
Dr. Pandey earned his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from AcSIR–CSIR-IITR, with a specialization in Biochemistry. His doctoral research explored the role of ER stress in diabetic liver injury and the involvement of FoxO protein modifications in hepatic cancer cell apoptosis.
Dr. Pandey’s primary research interest includes Cell signaling, Cell death, Molecular Biology, Toxicology, Metabolic Disorders like diabetes and Cancer. He has interest in exploring molecular targets and investigating drugs/phytochemicals to exploit their potential to lower the pathogenicity of metabolic disorders.
Scientific Archives is a global publisher initiated with the mission of ensuring equal opportunity for accessing science to research community all over the world. Spreading research findings with great relevance to all channels without any barrier is our goal. We want to overcome the challenges of Open Access with ensured quality and transparency.
