Dr. Su completed his PhD in Cell Biology at University of British Columbia. He was appointed as a Junior Fellow at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, allowing him to skip traditional postdoctoral training and start his own laboratory following graduate school. In 2022, Dr. Su took upon his current appointment as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Jacksonville State University. His research focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular basis of childhood sarcomas and investigating how these deadly diseases can be inhibited by specific therapeutic regimens. Dr. Su’s contribution to the field of cancer research has been recognized with numerous grants and awards from St. Baldrick’s Childhood Cancer Foundation, Sarcoma Foundation of America, U.S. Department of Defense, and American Association for Cancer Research.
