Biography

Dr. Majid Forghani-Elahabad is an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of ABC, Brazil. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research in 2014, complementing his academic foundation with a B.Sc. and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics, received in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Beyond his current role, Majid has enriched his research and teaching portfolio through postdoctoral positions at the University of São Paulo and the Federal University of ABC, and lecturing positions at several prestigious universities in Iran, including the Sharif University of Technology. Majid holds editorial positions in several international journals and has reviewed more than 200 papers for more than 33 esteemed international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Reliability Engineering & System Safety, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Expert Systems with Applications. His research focuses on system reliability, network optimization, network design, and optical networks, aiming to make significant contributions to these fields.
