Biography
Dr. Hassan Mirzabozorg is an accomplished Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at the K.N.
Toosi University of Technology (Tehran), with over two decades of extensive experience in the dams
and infrastructure industry. His career seamlessly integrates advanced academic research with high-level
practical engineering consultancy.
His primary research expertise lies in the application of advanced computational mechanics, specifically
Nonlinear Finite Element Modelling (FEM) and Fracture Mechanics, to solve complex problems in
large-scale infrastructures. His work is focused on the long-term performance and safety evaluation of:
• Concrete dams and arch dams,
• Liquid storage tanks,
• Underground storage in salt caverns,
• Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) problems.
