Dr. Omar Massoud is currently working as Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. He is also the Director of Clinical Liver Research at UAB and a Scholar in Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), General Clinical Research Center. Dr. Massoud received his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) in 1982 and Doctor of Philosophy in Internal Medicine Residency Program in 1996 from Al-Azhar University. Later, he joined Case Western Reserve University and completed his Internship in 2002 and Residency in 2004. Dr. Massoud continued his Postdoctoral studies at Medical College of Wisconsin (2008) and Mayo Clinic (2009), USA.
