Biography
Dr. Gaya Prasad Yadav is a Postdoctoral Associate in Department of Microbiology and Cell Science, University of Florida, Florida, USA. He completed his B.Sc. in Zoology, Botany and Chemistry, University of Lucknow, Lucknow, UP, India (2000) and M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry, University of Lucknow, Lucknow, UP, India (2003). Dr. Yadav is a Graduate research from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India (2005-2010). He completed his PhD. in Biochemistry and Structural Biology, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India (2011). Dr. Yadav is a Postdoctoral Fellow from UT Southwestern Medical center at Dallas, Texas, USA. He is an active Editorial Board member and reviewer in many international journals and he also done more than 15 publications as a corresponding author in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Yadav’s research interests include Structure determination of Ion channels proteins involved in different diseases using Cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography; Co-relation of the structural information to their functions by using different molecular biology, biochemical and biophysical techniques; Maturation of secretory granules in the regulated secretory pathway; How chromogranin B, a predicted soluble protein, form channels in the membrane and help in regulating the pH in the granules and hence maturation of insulin.
